EN. This year, I decided to read “Project Japan. EN. This year, I decided to read “Project Japan. Metabolism Talks…”, by Rem Koolhaas and Hans Ulrich Obrist before travelling to the country. The book provided me with great insights over the changes that took place in the japanese society throughout the 20th century and the Metabolist architecture movement. I wrote a text about it, which you may find through the link in my bio. Available in english and portuguese.

PT. Neste ano, eu li o livro “Project Japan. Metabolism Talks…”, de Rem Koolhaas and Hans Ulrich Obrist, pouco antes de viajar para o país. O livro me permitiu conhecer mais sobre as mudanças que ocorreram na sociedade japonesa ao longo do século XX e sobre o movimento arquitetônico do Metabolismo Japonês. EN. I recently wrote about Theo Van Doesburg’s h EN. I recently wrote about Theo Van Doesburg’s house in Meudon, France. Van Doesburg was one of the founders of the ‘De Stijl’ movement. For ‘De Stijl’, there was no distinction between art, architecture and design. The Schröder House, designed by Gerrit Rietveld (1888-1964), clearly illustrates the concepts of the Dutch art movement. PT. Eu escrevi recentemente sobre a residência-ateliê de Theo Van Doesburg, o fundador do movimento artístico ‘De Stijl’. Para o De Stijl, não havia distinção entre a arte, a arquitetura e o design – tudo era uma coisa só. The @vandoesburghuis was designed by Theo Van Does The @vandoesburghuis was designed by Theo Van Doesburg (1883-1931) as studio-residence for him and his wife Nelly (1899-1975). It is located in Meudon, near Paris. This project incorporates the main principles of ‘De Stijl’, an artistic movement founded by Theo Van Doesburg. Learn more through the article in the bio.
